- "The plaza of Maria is a multifaceted diamond of many things. Most important is the local market is held every Sunday there through out the morning hours. You can buy so many different goods and foods. Fruit stands have the freshest fruit ever, and there is a particular stand that's my fav. The one right across from the bank... that gentleman has the most amazing oranges I've ever had in ny entire life. For real, no joke. All the fruit is fabulous though as well as the veg. This market is held in the town center, circling down the streets around the church in the middle of it all. There is a meat and cheese stand with YUMMY stuff, super fresh and they'll cut the cheese right from the huge chunk as well as the meat right off the bone for you. They serve the nose yummy octopus salad that rocked my world. Pictures and icons adorn the town with pride of the revered Virgin del la Cabeza."
